"A pioneer of the music broadcasting format that will sweep all before it." - Tom Morton BBC Radio Scotland

The tartanpodcast is essentially a showcase for new Scottish music. Just because you haven't heard a song or a band on the radio it doesn't mean they're rubbish. It simply means the old guys running the record label don't believe that *you* want to buy the ...

What can I say, the Tartanpodcast is consistently the best podcast around. I have just been away for a month and on returning had a fest of TP's to get through every one quality music and banter. Now where is tht link to Super 8's music. Listen, be blown away and then buy some of the great Scottish music

The Tartan Podcast takes musicology to a new dimension and gives our third level Irish college a nice boost when it plays overhead in the Commons.

This is "just hanging out and enjoying the day" music. Easy, sometimes surprising, good listening.

Tartan podcast is simply wonderful... new music that is well selected and presented. It has a vibe like no other podcast out there.

Hi, I'm an Australian and I think you're doing a brilliant job with the tartanpodcast. I've heard some great music through the podcasts and I look forward to each new episode - keep up the great work! Hopefully one day I'll make it over there to see some of these bands perfom live...but for the while I'll stay tuned - thanks for sharing the music.

I couldn't live without this podcast. I'm so addicted to it now. Mark picks great independant bands from Scotland and the UK, and his selections are usually brilliant. This has got to be one of the best podcasts out there. I hope it continues to grow in fanbase and popularity. Mark really deserves it. Well Done!!

A thoroughly enjoyable show. Great music, and an obviously knowledgeable host who knows his stuff. And the dead sexy accent doesn't hurt a thing...

I listen to the Tartan Podcast at work, and its such a nice change from the usual news and culture stuff you hear.

Mark has a great selection of new bands that he introduces and I've been turned on to some really terrific new groups. The production is great and I look forward to every new show.

I love hearing Mark talk too. I'm in the US, so I'm a little smitten with his voice, because it's so different from what I usually hear. it's great to be in touch with what's going on elsewhere in the music world. I feel like I have one up on my friends, whenever they talk about music.

Hands down one of the best podcasts on the internet. I stumbled across this podcast when there were only a handful out there and it remains my favorite podcast.

The Sleepy Sunday and Mellow Monday shows are great!

The daddy of all Scottish podcats. This is the one that all the bands want to be on. Pure quality in every show and great mix of all kinds of style. Mark seems to genuinely be doing it for the love of the music and that comes across in spades.

Love Tartan Podcast. It is my favorite, well only podcast I listen to at the moment. There is a great selection of music and I love the commentary.
Was listening to a rant the other day and it was perfect.

I would recommend this podcast to anyone and everyone.

I just started listening to this podcast recently and it's already become one of my must-hears. Other podcasts I'll delete if I don't have time to listen to them, but the tartanpodcast gets top priority. It's a great mix of songs and bands I would never get to hear otherwise.

The Tartan Podcast is the ONLY music podcast we listen to.
Most of our subscribed to podcasts are humourous/chatty.
There is a reason Mark's show is on our listening list.
Well produced, thoughtful, and sometimes thought provoking.
Introducing us to music we're unlikley to hear elsewhere.
It's a pleasure to hear Mark talk too.
Aside from his pleasantly Scottish accent, he is eloquent, opinionated, knowledgeable, and, above all, forthright.
The Tartan Podcast...stick a bit of Scottish in your Pod!

This is a top podcast which is excellently produced whilst maintaining a relaxed vibe.

Mark's shows are a great way to discover exciting new indie artists from Scotland. Quality bands feature on the cast and I have downloaded tracks/bought CDs of several of the featured artists.

A "must listen" for music fans everywhere.

I first got forwarded through to the Tartanpodcast quite a while ago by Top of the Pods and I haven't stop listening since. The unique blend of inderpendant Scottish music and of course Marks brilliant chat (just love the accent), this really makes it my favourite podcast.
